The Bonnet Pendant is the most versatile piece in our lighting collection. Where the Fawn floats wide and loose and the Sunhat sits in a shallow cone, the Bonnet rises as a taller, more architectural conical form that works as confidently in a single installation as it does clustered in a group. Each shade is handwoven from elephant grass by members of SWOPA, the Sirigu Women’s Organization for Pottery and Art in northern Ghana, and shaped by hand into its characteristic conical form.

The Bonnet emits a warm, focused glow that suits dining rooms, hallways, bedrooms, and hospitality spaces equally well. The natural elephant grass fibers diffuse light softly downward, creating a pool of warm light beneath each shade.

Because every Bonnet is woven by hand, each shade is slightly different. The texture, taper, and weave vary subtly from piece to piece, giving a grouped installation a natural, gathered quality that manufactured lighting cannot achieve.
