The Fawn Shade is the wide, floating woven shade at the heart of our Fawn Pendant Light, sold here as a shade only for those who prefer to wire it themselves or replace an existing fitting.

Each shade is handwoven from elephant grass by members of SWOPA, the Sirigu Women’s Organization for Pottery and Art in northern Ghana. The grass grows along West African riverbanks, is harvested using traditional methods and sun-dried before weaving. Because every shade is formed entirely by hand, each undulates slightly differently, diffusing light warmly through its natural weave.

The Fawn Shade works well above a dining table, over a kitchen island, or as a bedroom pendant where its broad floating form brings biophilic warmth to the space.

Sold as a shade only. Power cord, socket, and bulb are not included. We recommend Color Cord for lighting components. We also offer this shade fully wired as the Fawn Pendant Light. LED bulbs only. Available in small, medium, and large.
