The Landslide Shade is the woven shade at the heart of our Landslide Pendant Light, sold here as a shade only for those who prefer to wire it themselves or use it with an existing fitting.

Each shade is handwoven from elephant grass by members of SWOPA, the Sirigu Women’s Organization for Pottery and Art in northern Ghana, then shaped by hand into gentle, undulating waves. Because every shade is formed and shaped entirely by hand, no two are exactly alike. The waves shift slightly from piece to piece, giving each a living quality that manufactured lighting cannot replicate. The natural elephant grass fibers diffuse light softly, casting warm textured patterns across surrounding walls and ceiling.

The Landslide Shade works well above a dining table, over a kitchen island, or in a living room where a sculptural pendant is called for.

Sold as a shade only. Power cord, socket, and bulb are not included. We recommend Color Cord for lighting components. We also offer this shade fully wired as the Landslide Pendant Light. LED bulbs only. Available in medium and large.
