The Posie Lamp was inspired by the Angel’s Trumpet flower, its wide flared shade echoing the undulating form of the bloom. The result is a sculptural table lamp unlike anything else in our collection, quietly commanding in a room.

The lamp base is handcrafted by Sam Klemick, a furniture designer who crafts the oak bases by hand at her workshop in Los Angeles. Sam works with salvaged LA construction wood and responsibly sourced red oak, letting the material lead the design process and allowing the natural grain and process marks to become part of the finished piece. The result is a base that feels warm rather than precious.

The shade is handwoven by Beln Perez Garcia, a weaver from Oaxaca, Mexico, recognized for her skill by the Oaxacan Institute for Crafts. Beln harvests young Mexican Fan Palm leaves for sage green shades and mature leaves for blonde, the colour determined by when in the palm’s life cycle the leaf was gathered.

The Posie Lamp works well as a statement bedside lamp, on a console, or as a standalone object in a living room where form and craft are welcome. Particularly beautiful as a pair.
