The Sunhat Shade is the shallow woven cone at the heart of our Sunhat Pendant Light, sold here as a shade only for those who prefer to wire it themselves or use it with an existing fitting.

Each shade is handwoven from elephant grass by members of SWOPA, the Sirigu Women’s Organization for Pottery and Art in northern Ghana. The shallow cone form creates a broad, warm light fall that works equally well above a dining table, over a kitchen island, or in a living room. Because every shade is woven by hand, each is slightly different in texture and weave, giving it a natural quality that manufactured shades cannot replicate.

Sold as a shade only. Power cord, socket, and bulb are not included. We recommend Color Cord for lighting components. We also offer this shade fully wired as the Sunhat Pendant Light. LED bulbs only. Available in medium and large.
