This one has a lot going on and I wanted it that way.

The base is what’s called a saddle ring, where the band and the top platform are cut from one piece of silver sheet. I added my sand texture to the ring band to create contrast with the base of the stone setting.

On top of the saddle, I built a small hollow form and lined its edges with silver granules, each one placed by hand. Then three little teardrops of Sonora Gold turquoise sit in a row along the top, each in its own bezel. The stones read as three green notes across the piece, warm and simple against the busier silver work around them.

Sonora Gold turquoise comes from the Sonora region of Mexico, known for its warm green and gold coloring.
